~ Happy reading ~
Easy to answer and maybe I'm going to loose a few friends today...
American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
Jepp, I get the message: People don't care about each other anymore and a selfish murder bastard could do whatever he wants. Nonetheless that was the worst book I've ever read. Most of the time it was really boring with endless and endless descriptions of brands, interior and other hip stuff. The sequences about killing the prostitutes were awful and explained in every gruesome detail. Yeah, a "lovely fun read".
No, for real. This must be the only book I have thrown in the rubbish bin while reading it. I can't remember a time doing THAT to another book. After skimming through the last hundred pages (to check, if the asshole MC got caught which didn't happen and seriously frustrated me) I walked downstairs and dumped it into the paper pin - the only sense of delight with American Psycho.
