Restless Spirits - Jordan L. Hawk

Oh, that was lovely. Yes, they are not Whyborne and Griffin, but I think we'll get there. And that haunted house was wonderful creepy- and it was fairly thrilling in the end. Noteworthy start of a series. And I just saw that there will be a #2 - probably this year. Together with Hoarfrost coming that's awesome news, isn't it? :D

Restless Spirits - Jordan L. Hawk

Gosh, Henry's ancestors came from my hometown. It's not at all important for the proceedings, I'm totally smitten nonetheless. LOL

This beautiful picture accompanies my latest fic. I've written Such a Good Boy for the still ongoing Harry Potter Kinkfest 2015 on LifeJournal.

It's some stunning art, isn't it? The pictures title is Collar and the wonderful sylvaticginger drew it. It's titled that way because that's the kink the story is about.

Lost Sherlock Holmes story found!

It's amazing the things people find!

Performance In a Leading Role ~ Mad Lori

Performance in a Leading Role - Mad_Lori

Here's the promised next rev about a story by Mad_Lori (aka Jane Seville).

Oscar winner Sherlock Holmes hadn't had luck with his latest film projects. He might have acted as good as ever, but when you don't drag money in Hollywood your star wanes fast. So, his next project has to be a success. When his agent offers him a wonderful script he's sure to get what he needs. A wonderful role and a crowd-puller. Even better that the author wrote the main character with him in mind. It's a story about life, about love, about a gay couple and a film by Ang Lee.

Everything could be perfect if, oh, if Ang wouldn't want John Watson playing his counterpart and lover in 'To a Stranger'. Sherlock isn't amused. He needs a successful film and Ang wants a modest mainstream romantic comedy actor who has played one shallow role after the other as his partner. Only teeth-gnarshingly Sherlocks makes some screen tests with John and - surprise, surprise - John does quite good in those shots. But Sherlock is still sceptical. Until... until he stays at the set to watch John playing a difficult and emotional scene. And there it happens. John blows Sherlock's (and everybody's) mind away.

Sherlock is shocked. How could someone with that enormous talent only ever played in such bullshit films? First they have a row about it but then they become friends. Really, really good friends. And everyone around Sherlock is mesmerised because Sherlock doesn't has friends. Well, now he has one... John. And at the end of the shooting both feel there could be even more. But they both don't give in to their feelings.

And what happens next you need to read for yourself.

Saving Sherlock Holmes - earlgreytea68

It's kind of perfect here, but it's the middle of the story.

Oh my, such a wonderful and dreadful feeling.

Zero at the Bone ~ Jane Seville

Zero at the Bone - Jane Seville

Jack Francisco was happy with his life as a maxillofacial surgeon until the day he'd witnessed a hit mob. Now he has a new name, lives in a new town, and has been put into protective custody until he can testify. As though he thinks his life couldn't get any worse, a hitman is coming after him.

D. is that hitman. He is being blackmailed into killing Francisco. But even a killer has their morals. Normally D. doesn't finish people off who don't deserve it. (If one could tell, that murderer, rapists, or bandits deserve to die.) D. is weary even before he has to stand vis-à-vis with Jack but after one look into his blue eyes D. just can't finish him off. So, they become unlikely alleys on the run from various opponents like the mob, the infiltrated witness protection program and those guys who seem to be after D.

If that isn't enough, the alleys start reluctantly to become friends, and then something more is growing between them. But what is going to happen when they give in to their attraction...

Zero at the Bone - Jane Seville

Interesting. A book which got two 1 star revs (from trusted friends) and some 5 star reviews from friends and others. No rating in between. I'm too curious to see what I'll think about it.

What I've been up to...

Yes, I haven't been really here in a long time. I know and it makes me sad. But I have only so much free time to spare and nearly everything got into my fics recently. Yes, fics as in more than one.

If someone wants to have a look, feel free to do so. Here are my Harry/Draco stories on AO3:

Looking Like Harry Potter (explicit*) - Some times after the war Harry has started to work as his own lookalike at birthday parties for children. His next appointment: Scorpius Malfoy’s seventh birthday at Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire. Bugger.

A Vow of Silence (mature) - Two days ago when Harry had opened his eyes in a bed in St. Mungo’s, he’d made a vow.

The Winner Shaves it All (explicit*) - Draco still bears the scars Harry inflicted on him with Sectumsempra. Though, when Draco loses the wanking contest, Harry is allowed to use a blade on him again.

Collaboration with a friend of mine as a brithday present, contains razor!kink

Ashes Left Behind (mature) - Draco decides to get a tattoo on his birthday.

*explicit means that parts or all of it are pure smut

Yesterday was deadline for another one. It'll be part of a huge Christmas exchange festival (nearly 60 participants) where anonymous posting is starting on the 1st of December.

A second collaboration goes online on Wednesday. That is gonna be another birthday present and we are currently working on it. I love our collaborations which are going to be all PWPs (plot what plot, so, it's all about the porn baby).

I'm trying my best to have a daily look on my dashboard and post more as well.

Hope you are all doing fine?

Bloodline (Whyborne & Griffin Book 5) - Jordan L. Hawk

OMG, this end. Swoon...

And there will be another one with such a wonderful and promising dark title. It feels like Christmas has come early this year. LOL

This series is making me happy! ♥

Bloodline (Whyborne & Griffin Book 5) - Jordan L. Hawk

Urgh, Whyborne, don't be so trusting. Just because people have something in common doesn't mean they are good and you can go and share all your secrets. And though you are having good intentions, lying to Griffin can't be a good idea.

Rectober... No. 5 - Where I Even Started to Love Snow

Title:On a Snowy Evening (the Paint the Forest With Colour Remix)
Author/Artist: alby_mangroves
Pairing(s) Merlin Emrys/Arthur Pendragon
Rating: NR-17
Word Count: 11.141
Warnings: Sex Magic, Rimming, Anal Sex, Magic Tentacles, Mildly Dubious Consent
Tags: Soul Bond, Winter Solstice, AU – Modern Setting
Summary: Making the most of a rare opportunity for a solitary trek in the woods, Arthur, Crown Prince of Camelot, encounters something, and someone, he never thought to see again. Destiny ensues.

Why I loved it:
This fic. It was such a lovely story, with a one of a kind form of magic. How these two made love with each other, magic all-consuming in and around them, was fantasting to read. The descriptions of the winter landscape made me yearn for a snowy forest at night. And, duh, I fucking hate cold snowy winters. So, alby_mangroves really did the trick. I wanted to be there on this clearing. I could see and feel it and it was hard to emerge from this story, its dazzling magic and its characters.

Arthur turns just enough to nose along Merlin’s face, over his cheek where it’s rough with stubble growing in. He rubs the tip of his nose alongside Merlin’s. They’re so close in their circle made of arms and trapped, shared heat, the delicious anticipation raising all the fine hair on Arthur's nape. He looks down at lips so dark they’re almost black, set in a pale, pale face. They’re both humming with the bond even with layers of clothing between them, with but a little space between their faces, skirting the edges of a real kiss while the air thickens with tension.

“Arthur,” Merlin whispers, and it’s dark, dark like chocolate. The first meeting of their lips is a slow, dry press, a shared inhale.

Merlin’s magic goes nuts, goes absolutely mental, sparking like live fuses and Arthur's existence contracts down to the glorious press and dry drag of lips on each other, edging closer together until there’s no space at all between them but the tiny snatch of breath being sucked back and forth between their mouths.

Rectober... No. 4 - And so Death Took

This rec post isn’t about the light and fluffy fics. It’s about the mighty ones. The ones which are able to shatter your heart, to let tears roll down your face, to make you uncomfortable, to let you sigh deeply, and the ones you can only read in fractions or when you are in a special mood.

Rectober... No. 3 - So Much Creativity!

I've written this post some weeks ago on LJ but due to illness and RL I didn't find the time to post here as well. Sorry about that.

Today I wanted to rec some non-Harry/Draco pairings and had some things in my mind. But then a little innocent post grabbed my attention and I started to have a look at the first results and was blown away by so much creativity.

On the 5th October inell invited everyone for a quick challenge she wanted to do. One just had to leave a comment with a pairing and a short prompt and she would wrote a 5-10 minutes ficlet for it. Sounded great and after some thinking I went and left a prompt. Tbh, you really should have a look at all the results. She really did a great job and all that while being partly knocked out by a cold. Inell, thank you, for all the treats and get better soon!

Go and have a look at her LJ.
You can read hot and witty stuff in some amazing pairings like:

Inell did the same thing one weekend later and again last weekend when she celebrated her 15th anniversary of fandom life. I'm totally in awe of her and her creativity and I love her Ron/Scorpius stories (this pairing is really growing on me :D).

The Amazing Tale of Anna Himmel and the Gold Sovereign - Stevie Henden

This is not just a story about the history of a family, or a story about being gay today or in other times, or about Jack the Ripper. It's all of it and more and that's just captivating. I do have some issues with Martin, the MC in the connecting story, because he is such a blunt and cocky guy but I have faith that he'll change over time. :)
